KATHMANDU/March 15: OUTREACH MEDIA Pvt. Ltd., a leading communications consultancy firm has successfully handed over tailored and comprehensive “Municipal Communications and Outreach Strategy” to its esteemed client, Town Development Fund (TDF). The strategic plan, meticulously crafted by OUTREACH MEDIA’s team of skilled professionals, was handed over during a ceremony held in Sauraha of Chitwan district on March 5, 2023.
The strategy was prepared for Harion Municipality under the European Union in Nepal supported Municipal Finance & Capacity Building (MFCB) Programme. The strategy prepared under the leadership of an internationally recognized communications expert Laxman Datt Pant, has been handed over to TDF Executive Director Krishna Sapkota and the municipal officials.
The communications strategy, designed to bolster Municipal Services of Nepal and strengthen their local governments’ outreach skills, was the result of an in-depth collaboration between TDF and OUTREACH MEDIA.
The communications strategy encompasses a multi-faceted approach, incorporating both traditional and digital communication channels. It outlines key messaging, media relations tactics, social media engagement, and stakeholder communications to maximize the reach and impact of the municipal services.
The strategy has recommended approaches to enhancing municipal transparency, efficiency, and engagement with citizens. Also, the strategy aims to communicate the range of municipal services available, emphasizing their benefits and encouraging community participation.
Additionally, the strategy focuses on raising awareness about the importance of timely revenue collection to sustain and improve municipal services. By implementing this comprehensive communications plan, the municipality seeks to strengthen its relationship with citizens, increase revenue collection, and ensure the delivery of quality services to the community.
